Panel Beater

Key Responsibilities:

- Repair and restore damaged vehicle body panels and structures.
- Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair or replacement method.
- Remove, repair, reshape, and replace damaged body panels.
- Use hand tools, power tools, hydraulic equipment, and panel-beating equipment safely.
- Carry out dent removal, straightening, welding, cutting, and panel alignment.
- Ensure repaired panels are correctly aligned and fitted to manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare repaired surfaces for filling, priming, and painting.
- Work with other technicians, including vehicle painters and mechanics, to complete repairs.
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure a high standard of workmanship and finish.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and organised workshop.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Vehicle Body Repair Technician .
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and accident damage restoration.
- Experience working with steel, aluminium, and other vehicle body materials is an advantage.
- Skilled in dent removal, panel alignment, welding, cutting, and reshaping.
- Ability to interpret vehicle repair procedures and technical specifications.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely.
- Relevant automotive body repair qualification or trade certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety procedures.
