Role Purpose
We are seeking an Admin Operations Team Leader to join our General Insurance & Health Team.
The primary purpose of this role is to bring strong knowledge of Cornmarket’s operational processes to keep work on track, within agreed service levels and to a consistently high standard. Build a high-performing team, resolve issues quickly and deliver a reliable, customer-focused operation.
Accountabilities of the Role
- Maintain commercial awareness of administration processes relevant to the role and the GI Administration Department.
- Monitor and prioritise work within the Admin Team, ensuring all tasks are completed within applicable SLAs. Set clear objectives, productivity targets, and performance expectations for the team.
- Lead the team’s day-to-day activity, performance reporting and resource planning, ensuring capacity remains aligned with departmental budgets and business requirements.
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing coaching and development where required.
- Conduct regular one-two -one meetings and performance reviews.
- Complying with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.
- Maintaining commercial awareness relevant to this role.
Process improvement, risk and compliance
- Review operational processes and drive practical improvements that strengthen efficiency, control and customer outcomes.
- Conduct regular operational risk tasks as required by the Compliance Department.
- Oversee the review and approval of departmental documentation, ensuring it is accurate, compliant and fit for purpose.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- CIP certification is required upon commencement in the role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of all regulatory requirements relevant to GI & Health operations.
- A minimum of three years’ experience within a comparable role would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment as required.
- Experience using Applied is essential; use of Applied back-office functions is a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment.
- Commercial awareness.

Controlled Function
This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
