As a Pre-Pack Manufacturing Technician , you'll play an important role in supporting production flow, troubleshooting operational issues, coaching team members, and helping the team achieve safety, quality, and performance goals at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia.

Compensation & Schedule

Starting Pay: $28.93/hr.
Schedule: Day 2-2-3 shift pattern, 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

What You'll Do

- Support daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and performance targets.
- Serve as a first line of support for production and equipment issues, troubleshooting concerns and coordinating additional support when needed.
- Monitor production flow, work-in-progress (WIP), equipment performance, and potential bottlenecks, adjusting priorities as needed.
- Assist with equipment operation, line changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide delegated floor leadership support, including shift huddles, work assignments, production priorities, and communication between production employees and management.
- Support onboarding, coaching, and on-the-job training for production employees.
- Identify recurring production or equipment issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) activities and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment efficiency.
- Maintain and audit production data, including shift metrics, scrap, downtime, and equipment performance.
- Partner with Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Promote a strong safety culture by following established safety procedures, identifying hazards, and supporting proper PPE requirements.

The Pre-Pack Manufacturing Technician is a key resource on the production floor, helping keep operations safe, efficient, and on target. This role combines hands-on production support, troubleshooting, floor leadership, training, and continuous improvement while partnering across teams to support operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, engineering, or similar operational environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot production and operational issues and support timely resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word , with basic familiarity with ERP or inventory database systems.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training documentation, and safety protocols.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in team meetings, shift huddles, and group settings.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and work with percentages and measurements related to productivity and equipment efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

- Technical school education, technical certification, or military technical background.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, automated production, packaging, or warehouse operations.
- Experience providing floor leadership, training, coaching, or mentoring.
- Experience with continuous improvement, root cause analysis, or production performance metrics.
- Experience working with ERP, inventory, or manufacturing data systems.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

- Ability to stand, walk, and use stairs throughout the shift.
- Ability to support line changeovers and other production activities requiring movement throughout the work area.
- Ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work around moving equipment, fluctuating temperatures, and elevated noise levels.
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in production areas.
