Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As the Manager for Tractor PDI & Cabin Assembly at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will oversee and direct daily operations within the plant, including production, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, TPM activities, safety, regulatory compliance, distribution, and warehousing. Reporting to the plant general manager, your primary objective is to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment.

Your critical responsibilities include managing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational methods, equipment, systems, and infrastructure essential to achieving the plant's goals. You will lead initiatives to monitor and improve process efficiency and personnel productivity by identifying and removing operational obstacles.

Additional duties encompass overseeing recruitment, performance management, and comprehensive training programmes for all personnel involved in plant operations. You will develop production work schedules that meet both internal targets and customer expectations, regularly monitoring progress to ensure alignment with these goals.

Specifically, you will:

## Education Qualification

Educational qualifications for this leadership position require a Bachelor of Technology degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Candidates holding a diploma with substantial equivalent experience in manufacturing management may also be considered.

General Experience

With a substantial background of 25 to 30 years in manufacturing environments, particularly in large-scale production facilities, the candidate is expected to have extensive experience managing complex operations in the automotive, farm equipment, or heavy machinery industries.

Proven expertise in coordinating manufacturing operations, maintenance management, engineering support, and quality assurance is essential. Experience in steering Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives is critical for success in this role.

The candidate must have a track record of successfully leading diverse teams, fostering professional development, and cultivating a safety-first culture. Demonstrated experience in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain coordination is vital to consistently meet customer and business requirements.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders are necessary. Experience working within multinational organizations or global business units, along with exposure to international quality and safety standards, will be viewed favourably.
