Job Summary:

The Director of Data Research (DDR) develops CRE research and analytics derived from an array of internal and external economic, financial, and CRE data sources. This role supports Trimonts Research Group by helping industry participants to reach data-driven decisions and by producing value-added insights for Trimont and its clients. The DDR assesses the health and risk of national and local economic drivers, using technology to identify, organize, and evaluate raw data and translate it into meaningful quantitative and qualitative analysis. The role delivers insights on economic, real estate, and finance topics through models, visual content, and analytical tools for internal and external audiences. Responsibilities include managing internal databases, producing real-time risk and market analyses, creating economic forecasts, and communicating findings through presentations, written materials, webinars, and podcasts. The DDR will also mentor team members, oversee processes, and review analytical products and communications to ensure quality.

Responsibilities:

- Produce CRE research products focused on market analytics and key economic and financial drivers.

- Develop content for internal and external audiences, including websites, briefings, and presentations.

- Identify, organize, and evaluate raw data to produce quantitative and qualitative analyses and other analytical tools.

- Build tools and models using internal and external datasets to provide real-time insights into risk, market, and lending conditions.

- Develop, organize, and maintain internal databases to support management and strengthen the companys reputation.

- Produce economic forecasts, statistical analyses, and risk-focused presentations with clear and insightful data-supported conclusions.

- Provide insights on economic, commercial real estate, banking, and financial conditions in national and local markets.

- Write and review local economic and real estate market analyses that assess market health and risk.

- Strengthen the companys reputation through podcasts, webinars, written materials, presentations, and other communication channels.

- Mentor and oversee team members as needed, providing guidance to strengthen their analytical skills.

- Review analytical tools, presentations, and written materials to ensure quality.

- Ability to work with client services and promote research products to clients.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Economics, Business, Real Estate, Finance, Data Research, or a related field.

- 1+ years of relevant experience in regional economics, commercial real estate, CRE finance, and/or CRE research.

- 1+ years of relevant experience analyzing national and local economic conditions, real estate, lending, financial institutions, and risk factors.

- Passion for economics, real estate, finance, and continuous excellence.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate confidently to large and small audiences.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands.

- Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment.

- Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and sense of urgency.

- Strong ability to assess, organize, and integrate raw data.
