We’re looking for a Capacity Analyst – Fabrication to join our Fabrication team, based at any fabrication location, with a hybrid work arrangement preferred (remote considered). In this role, you’ll support global fabrication capacity planning by independently developing, analyzing, and maintaining the data, models, reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools used to evaluate capacity, identify constraints, and inform business decisions across the fabrication network. Working closely with fabrication facilities and cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll exercise discretion and independent judgment to transform operational and demand data into actionable insights, automated reporting, and decision-support tools that improve visibility, planning accuracy, and operational performance.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN

- Maintain and validate fabrication capacity data by facility, process, equipment, labor type, and capability.
- Independently develop and maintain capacity models reflecting current, future, and constrained operating scenarios, exercising judgment on assumptions and analytical approach.
- Translate demand forecasts into capacity requirements, supporting forecasting, response curve development, and what-if analysis.
- Monitor facility load versus available capacity across key fabrication processes, identifying utilization gaps, bottlenecks, and emerging constraints.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support load balancing, make-versus-where decisions, and insource/outsource evaluations.
- Analyze throughput, backlog, and utilization trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain fabrication capacity databases, analytical datasets, tools, and standardized templates, ensuring consistency across models, systems, and reporting platforms.
- Support data collection, validation, transformation, integration, and onboarding of new facilities, equipment, products, and processes.
- Prepare local, regional, and global capacity utilization reports and dashboards, including Qlik Cloud and other BI platforms.
- Support business reviews, planning reviews, ad hoc reporting requests, and leadership presentations, continuously improving reporting automation and usability.
- Independently develop analytical tools, models, and decision-support solutions, using AI-assisted technologies to accelerate data processing and automate recurring reporting workflows.
- Perform independent analysis to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and anomalies, translating stakeholder requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Partner with fabrication facilities, materials, supply chain, operations, engineering, planning, Sales, Operations Planning, VDC, and other business functions to align capacity assumptions with operational realities.
- Support Lean initiatives, bottleneck reduction, root-cause analysis, and standardization of capacity metrics and reporting methodologies.
- Support capacity expansion, CapEx justification, network optimization studies, and digital transformation initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial planning, operations analytics, or a related environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in capacity planning, production planning, manufacturing analytics, or business intelligence.
- Experience working with manufacturing or operational datasets and translating data into business insights, using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, and capacity management principles.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and data management skills, with a high degree of attention to detail and occasional flexibility for after-hours communication with global teams and limited travel (<10%).

WHAT SETS YOU APART

- Experience with QlikCloud, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, analytical models, automated workflows, or decision-support tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (M3, BPCS, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) and manufacturing planning processes.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools to improve analytics, reporting, automation, or decision-making.
