Job Title: Build Coordinator (Project Management Assistant) Job Description This role involves coordinating axle builds to support testing and prototype plants, working closely with engineers, and possessing vehicle knowledge. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Responsibilities
- Coordinate all in-house prototype builds and testing for axle systems.
- Lead build events, manage component timing, place orders, and work directly with shop personnel for build timing.
- Maintain axle system testing forecasts and coordinate test part delivery.
- Keep track of test status and track post-test teardown progress for engineering sign-off.
- Develop project plans for upcoming build events, including quantities, complexity, and timing charts.
- Order parts through the GPIRS system according to the agreed plan.
- Work directly with design and release engineers and the supply base to coordinate timing of builds and sign-offs for completion.
- Manage issue resolution, assign champions to open items, and track to completion.
- Support testing priorities meetings and collaborate with the in-house test team to ensure timely test completion.
- Organize post-test parts for teardown review and track the engineers sign-off to completion.
Essential Skills
- Project Management experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with mechanical components testing of parts and build processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project coordination
- Knowledge of parts inventory and testing
- Familiarity with prototype builds

This is a Contract position based out of Livonia, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.13 - $44.13/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
