Join Amazon Pharmacy's Supply Chain team and help shape how medications reach patients. Amazon Pharmacy is looking for an experienced Instock Manager with proven experience managing complex inbound supply chains in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. You will join a high-powered, collaborative team where you partner across multiple functions to keep patients supplied with the medications they depend on.

The Instock Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the Instock role, including driving improved in-stock, inventory planning, and vendor operational improvement (efficiency, fill rates, lead times). You will drive initiatives to improve patient experience, reduce cost, and improve inventory health by working collaboratively across pharmacy operations, supply chain, procurement, and compliance teams. The ideal candidate excels in scalable process improvement, automation, and analytics, and is energized by solving complex problems and turning manual processes into scalable ones.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, and the candidate should be comfortable engaging with both internal stakeholders and vendors. The candidate will have proven experience delivering results by partnering with others and be comfortable contributing across a range of topics outside the core ISM responsibilities.

Key job responsibilities
Maintain excellent in-stock rates for owned category and/or region while minimizing expiry and unhealthy inventory
Execute inventory strategies to optimize service levels, turns, and inventory health under expiry and controlled-substance constraints
Monitor, analyze, and own key performance indicators such as in-stock rate, target inventory levels, fill rate, turns, and expiry/write-off rates
Manage efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including supporting purchasing processes and removing unproductive or expiring inventory in a compliant manner
Drive root cause analysis and reporting on operational issues, develop action plans, and project manage improvements while managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Partner with vendor managers to drive vendor performance across fill rate, lead time, and reliability
Work collaboratively with internal teams to drive tools and process improvements affecting purchasing and procurement workflows, with emphasis on automating tasks currently performed manually
Ensure inventory and procurement decisions adhere to pharmacy regulatory and compliance requirements across states

Basic Qualifications

- 4+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with SQL and advanced Excel
- Ability to thrive in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Track record of delivering results and an ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
