Volvo Trademark Holding AB is the worldwide owner of the famous VOLVO trademarks. It is a distinct company jointly and equally owned by Volvo Group and Volvo Cars.

The position is located at Lindholmen in Gothenburg together with the full Volvo Trademark Holding team. We are a small, highly specialized team operating in an inspiring, stimulating and truly global work environment.
This role is designed to be fully on-site to drive daily engagement and operational alignment. We welcome applicants based within a manageable commute to our location.

What you will do:
At Volvo Trademark Holding AB, you will contribute to protecting and preserving the VOLVO trademarks on a global scale. You will:
- Drive trademark cases end-to-end across oppositions, infringements and litigation, domain name processes (UDRP), trademark applications, social media complaint processes and border enforcement measures.
- Make case decisions in line with our strategies and ways of working , assessing each matter against the enforcement and registration strategy for Volvo Trademark Holding AB and the agreed working process with Volvo Group and Volvo Cars.
- Lead collaboration with external counsel worldwide , presenting matters, ordering and evaluating advice, and providing clear instructions on how to proceed based on your trademark expertise and the input received.
- Advise and coordinate with internal stakeholders , providing recommendations to Volvo Group and Volvo Cars IP departments and collaborating with colleagues such as Product and Brand Managers.
- Review and update key legal documentation , including agreements, warning letters, consents, authorizations, powers of attorney and other relevant documents connected to each matter.
- Ensure structured handling and administration , including case logging in relevant systems, deadline management, and providing information on the scope of trademark protection upon request.
Who You Are
You are a confident, collaborative and structured professional with a strong interest in trademarks and brand protection. You combine legal expertise with commercial understanding and sound judgement.
You enjoy working in teams and driving matters forward from strategy to execution. You are comfortable making decisions, managing external counsel and advising senior stakeholders in complex trademark matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Essential requirements
Law degree and experience within trademark law working at a law firm or in-house for at least 3-5 years.
Ability to work independently, prioritize and handle a high workload.
Strong collaboration skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders and external counsels globally.
Excellent communication skills in English.
High integrity and the ability to act as an ambassador for the VOLVO trademark and the values connected with it.
Strong interest in digital tools and working efficiently with case management and legal tech.
