Job Title: MEP Coordinator

Job Description Manage and coordinate all MEP/FP scopes throughout the project lifecycle. Review construction documents, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submittals for completeness and constructability. Support procurement, bid leveling, and subcontractor management for MEP trades. Coordinate meetings with subcontractors, design teams, and project stakeholders. Collaborate with field teams to identify and resolve installation conflicts and schedule impacts. Monitor project budgets, change orders, and cost controls related to MEP activities. Track procurement and delivery of long-lead equipment and materials. Ensure work complies with project specifications, building codes, and safety requirements. Support commissioning, startup, testing, balancing, and turnover activities. Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and trade partners throughout project execution. Essential Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Experience managing MEP systems on commercial, healthcare, institutional, and higher education projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
- Experience working for a general contractor, CM firm, MEP contractor, or consulting engineering firm.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Knowledge of New York City construction practices, building codes, and permitting requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with healthcare, life sciences, higher education, or mission-critical/data center projects.
- Exposure to commissioning and turnover processes.
- Experience managing MEP subcontractors in occupied or phased environments.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $48.08/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
