About this role
The RN Nursing Supervisor provides clinical leadership and day-to-day supervision of resident care and direct-care staff at Oakwood Assisted Living and Gardens Memory Care. This position works closely with the Director of Assisted Living and LPN Nurse Supervisor to ensure safe, person-centered care that meets resident service plans, provider orders, applicable regulations, and Ridgecrest Village policies.
The RN Nursing Supervisor serves as a clinical resource for residents, families, and staff and is responsible for clinical direction, RN delegation, staff competency, education, care planning, and follow-up on changes in resident condition.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current, unrestricted Iowa RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
- Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, skilled nursing, home health, hospital, or related healthcare setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, judgment, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision, delegation, coaching, and staff education.
- Willingness to participate in RN on-call rotation and occasional weekend/holiday coverage.
Preferred:
- Assisted living or memory care experience.
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience.
- Experience with nurse delegation, service planning, and staff competency training.
