About this role

Job Summary

Analyze, plan, organize, commercialize, and sustain Tubular Running Services products and services across their life cycle. Translate customer and field requirements into safe, reliable, and commercially viable TRS solutions including equipment, digital systems, procedures, training, repair and maintenance strategies, and service delivery standards, to improve operational performance, customer value, profitability, and growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

• Maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and ensure TRS activities comply with Company Security, HSE and Management System requirements, applicable laws, industry standards, and the Company Rules to Live By.

• Embed Quality, Safety, Security, and environmental protection in TRS design, field deployment, repair and maintenance, training, and commercialization decisions.

• Drive risk reduction through engineering controls and hands-free or automated solutions that reduce personnel exposure to red zones, suspended loads, rotating equipment, stored energy, and dropped-object hazards.

• Demonstrate visible safety leadership and ensure product changes, field trials, and deployments include documented risk assessment, Management of Change, operating limits, and emergency response requirements

QUALITY

• Maintain familiarity With Company Quality policies and actively support compliance with and improvement of Weatherford's Management System.

• Make service quality an immediate priority across TRS operations and identify recurring reliability, procedural. competency, and equipment performance gaps.

• Provide product-line leadership for investigation, corrective action, lessons learned, and the timely closure of all incidents.

• Ensure field procedures, work instructions, technical alerts, inspection criteria, and maintenance requirements remain aligned with approved product configurations and operational lessons learned

OPERATIONS & TECHNOLOGY

• Define and direct TRS product and service strategy by converting customer, rig contractor, sales, and operational needs into differentiated solutions that generate revenue, reduce risk, or improve execution efficiency.

• Provide global technical leadership for casing and tubing running systems, power tongs, control systems, mechanized and automated handling solutions, torque-turn monitoring, connection integrity, and associated rig-interface equipment.

• Lead prioritization of sustaining engineering, obsolescence management, product enhancements, new features, and new technology requests using safety, customer value, reliability, market investment and life-cycle cost criteria.

• Partner with RD&E, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management to define requirements and deliver feasible solutions within approved scope, schedule, and budget.

• Establish requirements for qualification, verification, validation, field trials. acceptance criteria, deployment readiness, and post-job performance review before broader commercialization

• Maintain TRS product roadmaps, approved configurations, operating envelopes, technical documentation, parts strategies, and end-of-life plans.

• Publish and distribute product improvement content, including technical alerts, updated field procedures, work instructions, checklists, service bulletins, and lessons learned.

• Analyze equipment utilization, failure, repair, maintenance, nonproductive time, torque-turn, and job-performance data to identify and prioritize reliability cost improvements.

• Provide direct support for critical operations.

• Ensure TRS products and services are deployable through suitable tooling, spare parts, software, documentation, trained personnel, competency verification, and technical support.

COMMERCIALIZATION & CUSTOMER SUPPORT

• Develop clear value and commercialization plans for TRS equipment, services, digital capabilities, and automation solutions.

• Support tenders, technical clarifications, customer presentations, contract reviews, equipment selection, job-specific solution design, and technical risk reviews

• Collect and analyze technical, financial, market, competitor, schedule, sales, and customer information to guide product strategy and investment decisions

• Promote TRS technology through technical papers, industry events. demonstrations. case histories, marketing materials, and customer engagement.

• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and resolve competing priorities through documented decisions, ownership. and follow-through.

FINANCIAL & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

• Define and monitor relevant TRS KPIS for safety. service quality, reliability, utilization, nonproductive time, maintenance cost, cost per operating hour, revenue, margin, and commercialization performance.

• Prepare business cases for product development, fleet upgrades, obsolescence mitigation, automation, and standardization initiatives.

• Ensure costs are managed within approved budgets and processed in accordance with applicable financial policies and controls.

Skills and Education

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.

• 10+ years of oilfield experience including substantial exposure to Tubular Running Services

• Demonstrated experience supporting field operations, technical problem solving, equipment reliability, and customer-facing technical decisions.

PREFERRED

• Experience with casing and tubing running equipment, torque-turn systems, connection make-up, mechanization, automation, or digital service delivery.

• Experience in strategic planning, product life-cycle contracting, negotiation, commercialization, and Management of Change

• Experience in sales, marketing, tendering, technical training, or deployment of new technology
