Clinical Assistant

Actalent is hiring for a Medical Assistant!! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the clinic by assisting with patient care, maintaining medical records, and supporting administrative tasks. Responsibilities

- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.
- Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
- Obtain all necessary patient records as required by the physician prior to treatment or procedures.
- Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms.
- Assist physicians with exams and procedures upon request.
- Maintain all exam and treatment room disinfection protocols.
- Respond to patients calls as needed.
- Perform administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and handling medical paperwork (e.g., FMLA, PFL) as requested by the supervisor or physician.
- Alert nurse or physician of abnormal vitals or any important information provided by the patient.

Essential Skills

- Proficiency in handling medical records and patient information.
- Ability to accurately record vital signs and other patient data.
- Current BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.

Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and requires the ability to escort patients to various locations within the clinic. The Clinical Assistant will work in exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms, ensuring that all areas are prepared and disinfected according to protocols. The position involves regular interaction with patients and healthcare professionals, requiring excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.

This is a Permanent position based out of Albany, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
