You will translate engineering roadmaps, architecture decisions, technical dependencies, and delivery risks into clear program requirements and executable cross-functional plans. Acting as the bridge between Quantum PM, business development and commercial strategy, Finance, Legal, Sourcing, and partner organizations, you will ensure that partnership structures, procurement commitments, and contractual terms support technical outcomes and Microsoft’s long-term quantum roadmap. This technical program leadership role is accountable for program judgment, engineering alignment, and end-to-end execution. Design and build AI agents/copilots that assist with experiment setup, log triage, measurement report generation, protocol templating, and knowledge retrieval (e.g., instrument manuals, design docs). </li><li>Ability to evaluate agentic solutions with measurable metrics and human in the loop safeguards following Microsoft Responsible AI requirements for generative AI.  </li></ul>Additional or preferred qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development</li><li style="list-style-type: none;"><ul><li>OR equivalent experience.</li></ul></li><li>10+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.</li><li>1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).</li><li>Experience evaluating external technologies and partners through technical diligence, requirements definition, integration planning, and measurable acceptance criteria.</li><li>Experience applying program judgment and systems thinking to balance performance, reliability, scalability, manufacturability, cost, schedule, supply, and long-term architecture.</li><li>Experience working effectively with business development, finance, legal, sourcing, compliance, and senior executive stakeholders on complex partnerships or procurement initiatives.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make complex technical issues clear to nontechnical stakeholders and commercial constraints clear to engineering teams.</li></ul> Technical Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
