Maintenance Mechanic – JLL

What this job involves: As a Maintenance Mechanic on our dynamic facilities team, you'll serve as a key contributor to building operations across multiple commercial properties. In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably to support tenant satisfaction and overall property performance. You’ll spend the majority of your time performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs that directly impact daily operations. This position plays an important role in supporting JLL’s commitment to operational excellence, safety, and client service.

What your day-to-day will look like:

- Maintain and service commercial HVAC systems including air handlers, cooling towers, fans, motors, pumps, bearings, coils, and filters
- Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing systems including toilets, sinks, urinals, piping, and water fountains
- Complete general building repairs and facility improvements including carpentry, painting, sheetrock, sheet metal work, and exterior maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance activities on base building and critical equipment while documenting work accurately within the CMMS platform
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and building system issues while following all safety standards and regulations
- Service specialized facility equipment including dock levelers, garage doors, and related operational systems
- Communicate identified repair needs and operational concerns to management while participating in emergency response, on-call, and overtime rotations as required

Required Qualifications:

- Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems within commercial or industrial facilities
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between multiple property locations
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights using ladders and elevated work platforms
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and facility systems including pumps, motors, air handlers, and plumbing infrastructure
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe maintenance practices
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and technical instructions
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

- EPA Universal Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) platforms for work order management and maintenance tracking
- Background in skilled trades such as carpentry, painting, or sheet metal fabrication
- Experience servicing dock levelers, garage doors, cooling towers, or related facility equipment
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Experience supporting multiple commercial properties or large-scale facilities
- Technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or a related trade

Work Shift: 1st Shift

Salary:

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Expected compensation for this position:

52,000.00 – 67,000.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
