Your Role

Our Platform Engineering team makes it easier for engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate reliable software. We create the shared tools, self-service capabilities, and automations that reduce friction, improve developer experience, and help teams spend more time delivering value.

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to practical platform capabilities while growing your engineering craft alongside experienced colleagues. You will work on clearly scoped features and improvements, learn how platform services are designed and operated, and turn repetitive engineering work into simple, dependable automation.

You will contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of internal platform products and engineering tooling. Working with guidance from more experienced engineers, you will deliver well-tested solutions, learn from feedback, and build a strong understanding of the teams who use the platform. This includes developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining software components, internal tools, and automation for the engineering platform; contributing to self-service capabilities that help product and data teams work more efficiently and consistently; turning well-defined manual or repetitive tasks into reliable automated workflows; writing clean, readable, maintainable code and participating actively in code reviews; investigating and resolving straightforward defects, operational issues, and support requests with guidance when needed; contributing to unit, integration, and automated quality checks for the services and tools you build; working closely with platform engineers, software engineers, data engineers, and internal users to understand requirements and validate solutions; contributing technical input, examples, and implementation detail to team documentation and design discussions; learning and applying the team’s practices for security, reliability, observability, version control, and continuous delivery; and continuously developing your technical skills while sharing useful learnings with the team.

Who You Are

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, including internships or equivalent hands-on experience where applicable.
- Solid programming fundamentals and practical experience in at least one general-purpose programming language; Python is particularly relevant.
- Understanding of core software engineering concepts such as version control, testing, APIs, debugging, and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with Git-based collaboration and code-review practices.
- A structured, curious approach to problem-solving and a willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and learn quickly.
- Clear written and spoken English.
- Valuable: exposure to data-engineering practices such as Python, SQL, or data pipelines; cloud services (preferably AWS) and infrastructure-as-code concepts; CI/CD and modern DevOps practices; and curiosity about current AI/ML developments, including LLM-enabled developer tools or agentic engineering approaches.
