Your Role:

EMD Electronics in Branchburg, NJ is seeking a Fab Maintenance Technician.  In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and improving fabrication and laboratory equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This position supports production and quality testing activities by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring compliance with maintenance, calibration, safety, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on fabrication, testing, and laboratory equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to restore operation
- Support equipment calibration programs and maintain compliance with maintenance schedules
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and spare-part usage in maintenance management systems
- Assist with equipment installations, qualifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with production, quality, engineering, and operations teams to prioritize equipment support
- Maintain inventories of critical spare parts and recommend replacements when necessary
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions for equipment failures
- Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and cleanroom procedures as required

We are seeking someone to work on either 2nd or 3rd shift:

- 3:00pm - 11:30pm (2nd shift)
- 11:00pm - 6:30am (3rd shift)

Physical attributes:

- Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in manufacturing environments for extended periods
- Using personal protective equipment (PPE), cleanroom garments, respirator as required

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree or Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or other Electrical and Mechanical discipline
- 1+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, laboratory, or automation equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical, or cleanroom manufacturing environment
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of vacuum systems, pumps, gas delivery systems, robotics, or process equipment
- Familiarity with CMMS/EAM software (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.)
- OSHA, NFPA 70E, or related technical certifications
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and calibration requirements
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay Range for this position: $32.00 - $49.00/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
