Job Summary The Production Laboratory Technician supports cell culture production and quality control activities in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This role performs routine lab procedures, prepares solutions, processes samples, conducts microbiological testing, and maintains accurate documentation while following aseptic techniques, SOPs, and safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine laboratory work in a cell culture environment using aseptic techniques and biosafety cabinets.
- Prepare solutions, serial dilutions, and samples using standard laboratory equipment.
- Conduct microbiological and quality control testing, including plating and result interpretation.
- Process samples through centrifugation and other laboratory procedures.
- Accurately document testing activities and production data in electronic and paper records.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with SOPs and safety requirements.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as pipettes, balances, pH meters, and conductivity meters.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of production activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a life science field and experience in a fast-paced work environment such as fast food, manufacturing, or similar.
- Experience with cell culture, microbiology, aseptic technique, or biological materials preferred from school.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and documentation practices.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or GMP-regulated environments is a plus.

Work Environment & Schedule

- First shift: Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
- Laboratory-based production environment working with biological materials.
- Requires use of PPE, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Rotating Sunday coverage approximately once every five weeks for cell culture startup activities.
- Collaborative team environment with opportunities to support multiple operational areas.

This is a Contract position based out of Middleton, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
