Inventory Coordinator

Inventory Specialist Job Description The role of Inventory Control Specialist/Cycle Counter is crucial in ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and aiding in production planning activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials are available at the right place, right time, and in the correct quantities. Responsibilities

- Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory.
- Reconcile inventory variances and investigate discrepancies through system research and transaction history review.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems.
- Support production planning activities, including work order management, scheduling, releases, and rescheduling as business needs change.
- Conduct audits of bills of materials, inventory locations, and backflush transactions to ensure system accuracy.
- Manage end-of-life inventory, including disposition and inventory adjustments.
- Troubleshoot inventory and material flow issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Partner with warehouse, production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability and operational efficiency.
- Communicate inventory concerns, discrepancies, and corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Assist with receiving, shipping, and material handling activities as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and process efficiency.

Essential Skills

- Minimum 6 months of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
- Prior experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume distribution environment.

Work Environment This position is located in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds is necessary. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm. The work environment includes exposure to varying temperatures, machinery, noise, and warehouse traffic. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when applicable. There is ample opportunity for growth in this role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
