Clinical Research Finance Associate

The primary focus of this position is to provide financial analysis and support for business and management data to aid in strategic financial planning and efficient accounting management. Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Director of Research Planning and Development to prepare budgets for industry-sponsored clinical trials.
- Manage and create budgets for all alliances entering the institution.
- Complete Advance Set Up requests to establish funding accounts for clinical trials.
- Review protocols, amendments, and ancillary documents for discrepancies and work with teams and sponsors to resolve them.
- Participate in negotiations with industry sponsors and CROs for new and amended clinical trial budgets.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Research Practice standards.
- Conduct quality assurance on budgets and train new employees on pre-award duties.
- Collaborate with clinical faculty to support clinical trials goals and assist with strategic planning.
- Maintain databases for tracking financial information and contract activation timelines.

Essential Skills

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, Hyperion, and other financial systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and critical judgment skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact effectively with others.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with standard word processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Understanding of accounting principles, financial management, data analysis, and technology systems.
- Experience in oncology, clinical research budget management, and industry trials.
- Ability to practice independently and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Work Environment This is an exciting remote role with the opportunity to work from home, must be based in Texas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
