Discover the Role

The Senior Accountant assists the Supervisor and/or Assistant Manager in daily deliverables to provide excellent service to clients. They provide financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports, submitting the reports to the client and are able to coach junior staff in the department. This position will be on-site at our client's office.

Key Responsibilities

- Check payment documents: contracts, acceptance minutes, invoices from EPC contractors, consultants, and other vendors.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to update project progress and actual costs incurred.
- Monitor investment costs, construction-in-progress (CIP), cash flow, and approved project budgets.
- Prepare and file tax declarations and statutory tax reports in accordance with Vietnamese tax regulations.
- Complete and submit required reports to the relevant state authorities for investment projects.
- Perform project accounting and prepare financial statements in compliance with VAS and IFRS .
- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly/annual) and management reports for the Board of Directors.
- Work with independent auditors (Big 4 or equivalent) during annual audit periods.
- Participate in developing and improving project accounting processes in accordance with international standards.
- Analyze financial risks and propose cost-control solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

- Degree Holder in Accountancy or business related disciplines;
- 3 - 6 years’ experience in CPA firms or multinational companies;
- Sound knowledge of international accounting and banking practices;
- Good command of written and spoken English;
- Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage;
- Pursuing or qualified in Local professional examinations.
