Civil Engineer – Your future position?

You will be the owner representative in the discipline field and ensure that Givaudan standards and guidance are 100%.

- Communicate with all other project team members.
- Be responsible for the complete Civil Engineering element of the project, including all building and earthworks, from Project Initiation through design, construction to hand-over.
- Consult all available records of all existing underground services and advise for avoidance or diversion of same in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the new or modified building or earthworks is appropriate to the process, including:
- Accessibility and space
- Lifting/removal replacement features
- Low building maintenance features
- Energy efficiency features
- Area classification

- Ensure that Civil Engineering issues are addressed through all phases of the project life cycle
- Ensure that the appropriate personnel are aware and agree to changes to resolve any estate management issues.
- Ensure that the design delivers all statutory and regulatory requirements in the Civil Engineering area.
- Liaise with the Construction Representative to ensure that the construction activities in this discipline meet GIVAUDAN standard engineering practices, site procedures, regulatory and legal requirements and that the standard of workmanship is of the required quality.
- Liaise with the Maintenance Representative to discuss potential maintenance activities, including the future provision of spares, service contracts, arising from the Project works.

At Project Handover:

- Ensure that all data, drawings and relevant certificates/documentation are prepared and issued
- Ensure, where appropriate, CMMS data is available for transfer into the system.

Your professional profile includes:

- Degree in Civil Engineering, from a recognized organization or institution is a plus
- More than 8 years of work experience, at least 5 years of previous experience in construction management, preferably in a multinational company
- Proficient in written English, strong communication skills. Good command of oral English is a must.
- Motivation, orientation & team player
- Ability to work under pressure and capacity to handle multiple tasks at the same time and rapidly solve problems
- Computer skills: AutoCAD, Project, Word, Excel and etc.
- Willing to be based on the construction site during the project implementation phase (Changzhou)
