Miscellaneous Metals Installation Foreman

Pay: Starting at $32/hour — higher depending on experience
Location: Candidates should be based near Georgetown, DE; Sterling, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Washington, DC

Position Summary
Seeking an experienced field foreman to lead crews installing stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metalwork at construction sites. This position oversees daily field operations, crew coordination, installation quality, and job-site safety while working with general contractors and project teams.
What You'll Do
- Direct daily work for crews installing stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metals.
- Coordinate installation activities with the General Contractor and other site personnel.
- Review blueprints and establish proper layout for installation.
- Plan crew assignments and organize materials and tools for efficient production.
- Check crew certifications and ensure required qualifications are maintained.
- Enforce site safety rules, PPE requirements, and project-specific safety plans.
- Conduct and review Tool-Box Shop Talks and reinforce safe work practices.
- Complete daily field and vehicle inspection reports.
- Monitor the condition and availability of tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Act as the on-site safety representative and primary field contact for installation activities.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the project.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of miscellaneous metals experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Foreman or field supervisor strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and safety documentation.
- Strong practical math skills, including working with angles, degrees, and standard measurements.
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 .
- Experience with welding processes including:
SMAW
- FCAW
- GMAW
- GTAW
- Current welder certifications or ability to successfully pass a weld test.
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and safety awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in an active construction environment.
Work Location
Candidates should be based near Georgetown, DE, Sterling, VA, Baltimore, MD, or Washington, DC and be able to report to field project sites as required.
