Job Title: Technical Specialist - Linux

Work Environment: Hybrid Working Model within a 24x7 Operations Setup (Includes On-Call Rotations)

Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Linux Engineer with 10 to 12 years of infrastructure expertise to join our dynamic 24x7 operations team. This role sits at the intersection of robust enterprise reliability and modern systems intelligence. You will leverage deep technical mastery across Red Hat and SUSE environments, advanced performance diagnostics, and automated workflows to ensure optimal system uptime. Beyond tackling complex troubleshooting and driving Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), you will act as a technical pillar—collaborating with OEMs, interfacing with customers, and actively mentoring junior engineers in an innovation-driven hybrid workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Enterprise Linux & Multi-Flavor Support: Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot complex production environments across Red Hat (RHEL), SUSE (SLES), and other enterprise Linux distributions.
- Performance Analysis & Diagnostics: Proactively monitor, analyze, and tune system performance metrics. Isolate systemic bottlenecks across CPU, memory, storage, and networking layers using advanced diagnostic methodologies.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Log Intelligence: Collect, extract, and deeply interpret diagnostic log bundles (such as sosreport and system analyzers) to rapidly resolve escalated OS-level and infrastructure incidents.
- Virtualization, Containerization & Automation: Manage virtualized infrastructures, support containerized workloads, and build automation pipelines to streamline patching, deployment, and incident response.
- Collaboration & End-to-End Ownership: Own critical issues from detection to resolution, maintaining clear communication with customers, internal teams, and external OEM partners.
- Mentorship & Operational Support: Guide junior team members, foster a continuous learning mindset, and participate in a hybrid schedule alongside 24x7 on-call shift rotations.

Technical Stack:

- OS & Core Administration: Deep, hands-on knowledge of RHEL and SLES internals, systemd, kernel management, and advanced remote troubleshooting.
- Diagnostics, Logs & Performance Analysis: Expert proficiency in capturing diagnostic log bundles (sosreport, system analyzers) and interpreting system telemetry/metrics to isolate complex performance bottlenecks.

- Preferred Skills: Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM).
- Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Infrastructure automation and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible).

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 7 to 10 years of professional experience in enterprise Linux administration, systems operations, and advanced support.
- Relevant Certifications (Preferred): Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA) / Engineer (SCE).
- Certifications in Containers/Kubernetes (e.g., CKA/CKAD) or Cloud/Virtualization platforms are a strong plus.

- Operational Capabilities: Comfortable managing critical incident resolutions, preparing structured RCA documentation, and collaborating constructively with external vendors and OEMs.
- Soft Skills & Mindset: Excellent customer-facing communication skills, a collaborative approach to peer support, and a strong learning mindset toward adopting smart infrastructure tools.
- Work Model Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a hybrid working arrangement and participate in a 24x7 operational/on-call rotation model.
