## Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sourcing & Purchase Manager – Electronics to lead sourcing and procurement activities for electronic components, PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and related electrical/electronic assemblies across New Product Development and mass-production requirements. The role will be responsible for supplier development, RFQ management, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, supplier performance, component availability, risk management, localization, and timely procurement of materials. The ideal candidate should have strong technical understanding of electronic components along with hands-on experience in sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and EMS coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

- Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement of electronic components, PCBs, PCBAs, wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, controllers, and related electrical components.
- Develop and maintain a strong domestic and international supplier base.
- Manage RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier quotations, techno-commercial evaluations, and supplier finalization.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, commercial terms, tooling costs, and supply agreements.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, localization, value engineering, price benchmarking, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure timely availability of components for NPD, prototype, pilot, and production requirements.
- Develop alternate suppliers for critical and high-risk components.
- Monitor commodity trends, component availability, lead times, and supply-chain risks.

2. Supplier Development & Management

- Identify, evaluate, qualify, onboard, and develop suppliers and EMS partners.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments covering capacity, quality systems, technology, financial stability, delivery capability, and commercial competitiveness.
- Track supplier performance across Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service parameters.
- Drive supplier improvement plans and closure of supplier-related issues.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring commercial and operational accountability.
- Support supplier audits in coordination with Quality and Engineering teams.
- Manage supplier escalation related to cost, delivery, quality, shortages, and production continuity.

3. Electronics & Component Sourcing

- Source and manage categories including: PCB and PCBA
- Semiconductor components
- ICs and microcontrollers
- Sensors
- Connectors
- Wiring harnesses
- Displays
- BLE / Wi-Fi / Cellular modules
- Passive and active components
- Electrical and electronic assemblies

- Evaluate alternate components in coordination with Engineering.
- Support component selection considering cost, availability, lifecycle, quality, and manufacturability.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to component shortages, End-of-Life (EOL), Product Change Notifications (PCN), and obsolescence.
- Work with Engineering to promote adoption of cost-effective and readily available components.

4. Technical & NPD Support

- Work closely with Engineering and NPI teams during new-product development.
- Review BOMs, specifications, datasheets, technical drawings, Gerber files, and manufacturing packages.
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) discussions with EMS and suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier quotations from both technical and commercial perspectives.
- Support prototype, validation, pilot-production, and mass-production requirements.
- Participate in functional-cost analysis and product cost optimization.

5. Purchase & Supply Planning

- Coordinate purchase requirements based on production plans, forecasts, and inventory levels.
- Ensure purchase orders are released accurately and on time.
- Monitor order confirmation, production status, shipment schedules, and supplier delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Production, and Finance teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Optimize inventory levels while minimizing shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete stock.
- Track purchase lead times and proactively address supply constraints.

6. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain sourcing documentation, supplier records, RFQ comparisons, price history, contracts, and purchase records.
- Ensure supplier compliance with applicable requirements such as: RoHS
- REACH
- EOL notifications
- PCN requirements

- Coordinate execution of supplier agreements, NDAs, SOWs, and other commercial documents.
- Maintain BOM and sourcing data using relevant tools and systems.
- Experience with tools such as SiliconExpert, IHS Markit, Altium 365, SourceEngine, ERP systems, or equivalent platforms will be preferred.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Engineering, NPI, Quality, Production, Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Coordinate with EMS partners and component suppliers to ensure smooth execution of sourcing and production plans.
- Support Engineering Change Requests and component-change implementation from a sourcing perspective.
- Provide regular sourcing, procurement, cost-saving, and supplier-performance updates to management.

Required Technical Competencies

- Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB, PCBA, wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, and electrical assemblies.
- Strong understanding of electronics sourcing and purchasing processes.
- Ability to read BOMs, component datasheets, PCB fabrication drawings, technical drawings, and supplier quotations.
- Strong understanding of RFQ, commercial negotiation, supplier evaluation, and vendor development.
- Experience in cost analysis, price benchmarking, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of NPD and production procurement processes.
- Experience working with EMS partners and electronic-component distributors.
- Understanding of component lifecycle, obsolescence, EOL, and PCN management.
- Good knowledge of purchase orders, contracts, payment terms, MOQ, lead times, and inventory planning.
- Familiarity with ERP and BOM-management tools.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline .
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in electronics sourcing, purchase, procurement, or supply-chain management.
- Strong experience in sourcing PCB, PCBA, electronic components, electrical components, and/or wiring harnesses .
- Experience working with EMS partners, component manufacturers, distributors, and vendors.
- Experience in Automotive, EV, Electronics, OEM, Tier-1, or manufacturing organizations will be preferred.
- Prior experience handling both technical sourcing and commercial procurement responsibilities will be highly preferred.
