About this role
- Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling, and dumping operations.
- Ensure safe operation of heavy earth-moving machinery (HEMM) such as shovels, excavators, dumpers, dozers, graders, and drills.
- Inspect working faces, haul roads, benches, dump yards, and mine equipment regularly.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and violations of safety regulations.
- Monitor deployment and productivity of machines and manpower.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and operational logs.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers before commencement of work.
- Ensure compliance with provisions of the Mines Act, Metalliferous Mines Regulations, and DGMS guidelines.
