Your role

Reporting to the Director, People Business Partner and Labour Relations, Australia Asia Pacific (APAC), and working closely with the Perth-based Lead People Business Partner, as Specialist People Business Partner you will support the delivery of Newmont’s People initiatives across APAC including Respect at Work and Frontline Leader development programs.

As a trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders in Brisbane and Perth, providing advice and support across the employee lifecycle, performance management, annual salary reviews, case management and broader Newmont People policies and procedures.

You will also work closely with Enterprise and regional People teams to maintain employee data and organisational structure integrity, and support changes to employment conditions and employee transfers as required.

Yours skills and experience

- Degree qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
- Demonstrated HR generalist experience gained within a corporate environment, ideally within a global mining company
- Sound knowledge of contemporary Australian employment relations legislation and practices including the Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements, grievance management, disciplinary procedures and industrial relations governance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills with the confidence to provide advice and guidance to managers and senior leaders
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and SAP with the ability to confidently navigate in-house HRIS systems.

Your work environment

This permanent full-time position is based out of Newmont Australia’s Brisbane Hub and will suit applicants currently living in Brisbane, Australia who have full and unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.
