Your role

Reporting to the Lead, People Case Management, Australia Asia Pacific, in the position of Advisor, People Case Management you will plan and execute Tier 2 ‘Respect at Work’ investigations and audits related to allegations of misconduct based on protected grounds such as intimidation, sexual/harassment and misconduct, bullying, harassment and discrimination for Newmont in Australia.

Other key responsibilities

- Support the implementation of Business Integrity & Compliance and People team programs to promote compliance with and raise awareness of Newmont’s Code of Conduct, policies and standards in Australia
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees and relevant stakeholders during assigned investigations including coordinating interviews and other investigation activities by providing guidance on the established process and supporting professional and respectful interactions
- Provide input into continuous improvement of the internal investigation process/methodology
- Build and share investigation report findings and recommended actions with appropriate stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all investigations
- Share investigation findings with management/stakeholders and provide advice on corrective and disciplinary measures derived from the findings of investigations
- Identify and share control gaps, process improvements and training needs as an outcome of investigations.

What you will bring

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Law, Business, Accounting or a related
- Formal Certification in Workplace Investigations
- Demonstrated experience in conducting workplace investigations with solid knowledge of investigation processes, procedures and interviewing techniques
- Previous experience working within a large corporate environment with global operations, ideally within the mining industry
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and effectively manage conflict
- Ability to analyse information and draw evidence-based conclusions
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and compliance systems
- Full and unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.

Your work environment

This permanent full-time position will be based out of either of Newmont Australia’s Brisbane or Perth capital city hubs and will suit applicants currently living in Brisbane or Perth who have full and unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.
