About the Department: At Outwood Academy Riverside, we are already four years into a transformative journey as a MiSST school, where the Andrew Lloyd Webber Programme ensures that every student across Key Stage 3 is gifted their own musical instrument. This commitment has laid a formidable foundation, culminating in the exciting growth of our very own school orchestra. We are seeking a Music Teacher to join our Performing Arts Department, to support the movement of our musical legacy to the next level. Essential qualifications include a degree in an appropriate discipline related to the relevant subject and a teaching qualification coupled with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Required experience includes recent and relevant teaching experience (either in employment or training) and experience of assessment at Key Stage 3 and 4.

The successful candidate will be confident in using standard computer packages (word processing, email, and spreadsheets) and understand how these tools can enhance student learning. The role demands high levels of professionalism, including the ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner, and a capacity to recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
