Developer

We’re looking for a Developer to join us at Telia.

I’m Tom Næss, Head of Telia Smart Connect , and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team responsible for an award-winning B2B call center solution.  We plan, design, develop, support and operate this service that we have launched in all Telia markets. What you’ll do:

You will build and improve reliable backend services, working with modern development practices to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

- Develop and maintain Web/UI and backend services
- Design and optimize data solutions using SQL databases and/or MongoDB
- Build for scale by improving system performance, caching, reliability, and maintainability
- Strengthen application security by identifying vulnerabilities and applying secure coding practices
- Collaborate through Git-based workflows, code reviews, pull requests, and shared engineering standards
- Contribute across the development lifecycle , from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and continuous improvement

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are a collaborative and self-driven developer who works effectively both independently and as part of a team, and who proactively asks for help when needed.

Must have

- Strong experience with PHP and/or Golang
- Experience working with SQL databases and/or MongoDB
- Excellent English communication skills , both written and spoken
- Experience working in collaborative software development teams using Git , including code reviews, pull requests, and team-based development workflows
- Ability to work independently while proactively asking for help when needed

Preferred

- Experience building high-traffic systems where scalability, caching, and performance optimization are important
- Experience identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security
- Experience with Linux

Nice to have

- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with Vue.js
- Good knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Experience with Docker

Monthly salary range for this position 4320 – 6480 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonus . Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
