<b>Overview</b><br><div><strong>Internship Opportunity: Finance, Operations and Management Assistant Coordinator</strong></div><div><strong>Start Date: November 2026</strong></div><div><strong>Duration: 12 months</strong></div><div><p>Microsoft's European Government Affairs (EGA) organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance, Operations and Management Assistant Coordinator to join its Brussels-based team. The role will primarily support the team's finance, procurement and operational processes, while also providing day-to-day administrative support to senior leaders and the broader team. </p></div><div><p>This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career candidate who is eager to develop practical experience in business operations, financial coordination, procurement and executive support within an international and fast-paced environment. </p></div><div><p>The purpose of Microsoft's European Government Affairs organization is to build relationships and strengthen dialogue with European stakeholders in support of the European digital and broader policy agenda. </p></div><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><div><div><p><span>Key responsibilities</span><span> </span></p></div><div><p><strong><span>Finance and Operations </span><span> </span></strong></p></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span><span>Provide day-to-day support for finance, </span><span>procurement</span><span> and invoicing processes across the </span><span>EGA </span><span>team.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span><span>Create and follow up on purchase orders,</span><span> contracts,</span><span> support invoice processing and </span><span>maintain</span> <span>accurate</span><span> finance and procurement records.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span><span>Support the annual budget-planning</span><span>, </span><span>forecasting </span><span>process</span><span> and budget reviews</span><span> in close collaboration with the Business Operations Manager.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span><span>Engage with internal teams, suppliers, </span><span>consultants</span><span> and law firms to help ensure smooth and consistent operational processes.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span>Support compliance-related processes, including hospitality and travel requests involving government officials, in line with Microsoft policies.</span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span><span>Maintain team trackers, shared files, guidance </span><span>materials</span><span> and process documentation, and </span><span>identify</span><span> opportunities to simplify ways of working.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span><span>Support onboarding and offboarding activities and contribute to broader team projects, </span><span>events</span><span> and learning activities.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div><div><p><strong><span>Management Assistance </span><span> </span></strong></p></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p><span>Support calendar management and scheduling for senior leaders, including internal and external Assistant </span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul></div></div><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><div><p><strong>Required qualifications </strong></p></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, finance, accounting, management, economics or a related field. </p></li><li>Legally authorised to work in Belgium (Legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit). </li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>Good numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. </p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams. </p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage several priorities and follow through on actions. </p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. </p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>A collaborative, open and inclusive working style, with sound judgment and discretion. </p></li></ul></div><div><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><p>Ability to learn quickly, work
