We are hiring a Server I/O Technical Project Manager (TPM) in the ThinkSystem Development organization which is part of Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Product Group (ISG) based in Morrisville, North Carolina. This is an exciting role in the Server I/O Development organization that has a strong focus to be the #1 trusted IT Partner in the Datacenter. The Project Manager in this role will lead the Server I/O development team new product introduction and on-going sustainment engineering. The products managed by the I/O team include Networking, GPU, HDD/SSD, RAID/HBA technologies. This role includes coordination and planning for Executive Reviews with our multiple I/O Partners. This role is key for planning, sizing and project definition working working with I/O vendors and Architects. This role will involve working with local I/O engineers and with our Global I/O engineers and project managers in Beijing and Taipei. Additional responsibilities includes project schedule planning, project resource/expense sizing's, expense orders, expense tracking, hardware shipment management and tracking. The ThinkSystem portfolio provides exposure to the latest storage technologies to meet market demands now and in the future. This candidate will become an active member of the development team that is highly motivated to engage, understand and solve the technical challenges of today and shape the server designs of tomorrow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree

• 10+ years of in-depth experience in server/storage development

• 10+ years of project management execution

• Experience in leading engineers/team wrt technical project execution and product development

• Strong organizational skills to lead server I/O project management across cross functional teams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, including customer engagements, partner negotiation and management/executive project status updates

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15+ years of development experience including project management

• PMP Certification

• Experience with projects including server hardware, firmware and software

• Demonstrated leadership on a project with engineering team members located in multiple geographies

• Business acumen to engage with various functional teams required to take projects from concept to production

• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
