Field Service Representative/ Contractor Special Security Officer

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks an experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) / Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) system operations, sustainment, and program-security activities.
This dual-role position provides on-site technical, operational, training, product-support, and security support to government personnel and system operators at CONUS and OCONUS locations. The selected candidate will help maintain system readiness, resolve fielded-system issues, support security compliance, and recommend operational and sustainment improvements. CSSO training will be provided as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations, including austere or potentially hostile environments, as required.
- Serve as a facility CSSO in coordination with government security personnel and MTSI leadership.
- Support security procedures, access and visit requirements, security education, incident reporting, required documentation, and compliance with contract and government security requirements.
- Provide technical, operational, troubleshooting, maintenance, and refresher-training support to system operators and maintainers.
- Identify, document, and help resolve system discrepancies; coordinate with engineering, logistics, program-management, and government stakeholders as needed.
- Support lifecycle sustainment, maintenance planning, logistics coordination, readiness reporting, and analysis of maintenance and operational trends.
- Develop recommendations to improve system operation, maintenance procedures, supportability, and mission readiness.
- Participate in product-support, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Program Management Review (PMR), and security-related activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, security, or a related field; qualifying experience may substitute for education.
- At least 10 years of experience supporting military, missile defense, or comparable defense systems in field service, operations, maintenance, sustainment, logistics, product support, or security roles.
- Experience working directly with operators and maintainers in fielded or operational environments.
- Experience delivering technical, operational, maintenance, or security-related training.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, customer-engagement, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and meet travel, deployment, and clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting MDA programs, ballistic missile defense systems, or similarly complex defense systems.
- Prior experience as an FSR, deployed contractor, CSSO, or program-security representative.
- Experience with DoD logistics, ILS, maintenance planning, readiness reporting, or program security.
- DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics, PMP, security-related, or similar professional certification.

Clearance Requirement: Active DoW Top Secret clearance with an in-scope SSBI; SCI eligibility highly desired.
Travel Requirement: Up to 25% CONUS and OCONUS travel, including deployments of 90 days or longer, as mission requirements dictate.   Salary Range: The pay range for this position in Colorado is $80,000/year to $150,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
