Someone in this role would typically have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in related field . This position can be hired at any level in our professional career framework, depending on business need at the time of hire.

**International travel may be required. Possible straight time overtime and a 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off) **

Required

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. related area
- Understanding of electrical drawings
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency using computers and interfacing them with controls systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills.

Preferred

- BS degree in electrical, electronics or power engineering from an accredited engineering school
- Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures
- Installation of Sensors and Instrumentation
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and programming software

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Essential Functions

- Work Environment - Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
- Physical Requirements - Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
- Equipment and Machines - Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
- Attendance - Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
