Job Title: Engineering Administrative Assistant Job Description This role provides administrative support to a team of report processors by collecting, organizing, and processing scientific data into professional client reports. You will use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat to generate, format, distribute, and upload reports for external clients. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively both in a team and independently, and flexibility to accommodate occasional overtime or schedule adjustments. Responsibilities

- Collect scientific data from various sources and organize it in a clear, structured format for reporting purposes.
- Assist a team of report processors by preparing, editing, and finalizing client reports according to established procedures and standards.
- Use Microsoft Word to format and generate reports, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and professional presentation.
- Use Microsoft Excel to enter, organize, and manage data in spreadsheets, including performing accurate data entry and basic data manipulation.
- Use Microsoft Outlook to manage email communications, schedule-related messages, and the distribution of reports to internal teams and external clients.
- Use Adobe Acrobat to create, edit, combine, and prepare PDF documents for client delivery and internal record keeping.
- Proofread reports carefully to identify and correct errors in grammar, formatting, and data before final submission to clients.
- Upload completed reports and related documentation to the appropriate systems or platforms, following established file naming and storage protocols.
- Provide courteous and responsive customer service to internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
- Collaborate closely with team members to meet deadlines, support shared workloads, and maintain high-quality standards for all deliverables.
- Work independently to manage daily tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Adapt to occasional overtime or schedule adjustments to support project timelines and client requirements.

Essential Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of clerical or administrative experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry in spreadsheets and other systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Word for document creation, formatting, and editing.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic data organization.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook for email communication and scheduling.
- Ability to use Adobe Acrobat to work with PDF documents.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in proofreading and reviewing reports.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or adjust work hours as needed to meet deadlines.

Work Environment This position is based in an office setting that supports engineering and scientific reporting activities. You will work primarily at a computer using Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat throughout the day. The role involves regular interaction with team members and other internal stakeholders, as well as communication with external clients via email and other professional channels. Work hours follow a standard office schedule, with the need for occasional overtime or schedule adjustments to meet project deadlines and client needs. Professional office attire is expected, consistent with a typical business office environment.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
