We're looking for a Lighting Design Coordinator to support a growing utility lighting program serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This role is perfect for individuals with backgrounds in customer service, construction, utility operations, project coordination, field services, surveying, or administrative support who enjoy a mix of office and field work. You don't need to be an engineer to succeed. We provide training and support to help you learn the technical aspects of the role.

What You'll Do

As a Lighting Design Coordinator, you'll help customers bring their outdoor lighting projects to life while working closely with utility teams, contractors, and community partners.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Visit project sites to gather information, take photos, collect measurements, and document existing utility infrastructure.
- Meet with customers to understand their outdoor lighting needs and project goals.
- Create lighting layouts and project documentation using established company standards and tools.
- Coordinate with utility personnel, construction crews, municipalities, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Track project details and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support lighting projects from initial request through completion.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Experience

- Customer service, client support, project coordination, construction administration, utility operations, or related experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and field personnel.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other business software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Bonus Qualifications

- Experience with electrical utilities, construction, engineering support, GIS, surveying, or outdoor lighting projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design software.
- Experience handling customer concerns or resolving project-related issues.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
