RBI owns four of the world's most prominent and iconic quick service restaurant brands – TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. These independently operated brands have been serving their respective guests, franchisees and communities for decades. Through its Restaurant Brands for Good framework, RBI is improving sustainable outcomes related to its food, the planet, and people and communities.
RBI is committed to growing the TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES® and FIREHOUSE SUBS® brands by leveraging their respective core values, employee and franchisee relationships, and long track records of community support. Each brand benefits from the global scale and shared best practices that come from ownership by Restaurant Brands International Inc.
The Senior Manager of Insights is a key business leader who shapes the strategies for Canada's favourite QSR. This role is accountable for the impact of insight on decisions across the business — ensuring the best menu, the best guest experience, and marketing the resonates with all Canadians. It suits a strong communicator and strategist who is technically grounded in research methods. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is always looking for new and exciting challenges. You'll set the standard for how the team works and you'll bring a real obsession with the guest and a genuine love of the brand into everything you do.
Responsibilities
· Own the insight agenda for your portfolio and be accountable for the decisions it shapes.
· Proactively identify business issues and bring forward a fresh, well-argued perspective.
· Provide foresight: read leading signals across tracking, syndicated, first-party, competitive, and cultural data to anticipate where the guest, category, and business are heading — and get a point of view in front of leadership before the shift shows up in the numbers.
· Influence senior stakeholders across the business; ensure the consumer voice shapes decisions early.
· Prioritize ruthlessly across a high volume of demand; protect team capacity for proactive, high-leverage work rather than maximizing project count.
· Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of the custom and tracking research your portfolio needs.
· Build and own the team's first-party research capability — the panel relationships, tools, and design standards that let the team run studies in-house — and set the in-house-versus-agency call across the portfolio.
· Build strong relationships with internal partners (Category, Category Analytics, Pricing, Marketing Communications, R&D, Digital, Operations), suppliers, and agencies; hold partners to their best thinking.
· Set the standard for how the team uses AI to compress execution and redeploy time to higher-value work — and for the responsible, QA'd use of AI across the function.
· Present to senior stakeholders with storytelling that connects insight across the business to guide decisions.
· Lead the communication process and manage expectations on schedule and scope.
· Manage and develop a direct report, building strategic-partner capability on the team.
Qualifications
· Proven ability to lead and influence business decisions at a senior level.
· Minimum 5 years in a strategy or insights role.
· Strong business acumen and a track record as a strategic partner.
· A forward-looking read on the consumer and category — able to connect signals into a defensible point of view on what's coming, not just what already happened.
· A storyteller with strong communication and presentation skills; can adapt to changing scope.
· Fluency with AI/GenAI tools and the judgment to set standards for their use.
· Extensive research craft across qualitative and quantitative methods, including designing and fielding first-party (panel-based) studies.
· Strong curiosity and passion for the consumer; detail-oriented and well-organized.
· Retail/QSR experience an asset.
· PowerPoint and Excel proficiency assumed.
