Beloit Health System is looking to add a Per Diem Front Desk Receptionist to our Team!

Shift: 1st & 2nd

Schedule: Hours between 6a - 8p (shifts up to 8 hours/day)

Hours per week: Varied - Per Diem

Benefits Status: Not Eligible

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a professional, compassionate, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, The ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment while providing exceptional customer service, efficiently managing front desk operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by greeting guests, answering inquiries and directing visitors.

- Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.

- Answer and route incoming telephone calls promptly and appropriately.

- Direct visitors to patient rooms, departments, and hospital services.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

- Manage visitor sign-in procedures and issue visitor badges as needed.

- Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and other hospital departments.

- Handle patient inquiries and resolve routine concerns professionally.

- Maintain organized reception and waiting areas.

- Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, data entry, and record maintenance.

- Assist with departmental projects and other duties as assigned.

- Manages escorts to ensure patient deliveries are completed in a timely fashion

- Completes extra projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service, receptionist, administrative, or healthcare office experience preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and patient satisfaction.

- Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients.

- Must be very flexible in working hours and able to work holidays when needed.

- Able to work different shifts:

- Weekdays 7am - 8pm (2 shifts)

- Weekends 8am - 8pm (2 shifts)

- Reporting Relationship: Lead Receptionist, Executive Director of Foundation/Marketing/Community Relations
