Beloit Health System is looking to add a Full-Time Audiologist to ou r Physical Medicine Team !

- Shift: First

- Schedule:   8a – 4:30p

- Hours per week: 40

- Benefits Status: Eligible

The Audiologist is responsible for performing diagnostic hearing and hearing aid evaluations, providing industrial hearing conservation programs, VNG studies, and dispensing, maintenance, and repair of hearing aids.

- Performs screens and diagnostic evaluations.

- Interprets findings of evaluations and diagnoses specific type of hearing disorder.

- Establishes and executes appropriate plan of care.

- Refers patients to other professionals and agencies when indicated.

- Counsels and educates patients, families, and colleagues.

- Documents patient data (evaluations, progress notes, audiograms, etc.) according to department policy and procedures.

- Demonstrates knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations as they pertain to hearing conservation and maintains program compliance (or informs company of how to maintain compliance) for all industrial contracts.

- Participates in performance improvement, community, and staff education programs.

- Shares in supervision of student interns of Audiology programs, or shadow students.

- Performs the necessary functions to prepare, maintain, and clean up the work area to ensure cleanliness and safety.

- Participates in program development e.g., implementing/expanding services, increasing productivity, educating internal and external customers, etc.

- The Audiologist has regular access to and is expected to maintain the protected health information of patients in their care.

- Respectfully interacts with a wide variety of internal and external constituents, including (but are not limited to) team members, staff and physicians, local companies, patients, families, vendors, and all insurance representatives.

- Provides coverage to other Physical Medicine locations and settings as necessary based on patient care/departmental needs.

Job Requirements

- Master's Degree or higher in Audiology from an accredited program

- American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider CPR and AED Certification within 3 months of hire.

- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees, companies, payors, vendors, patients and family members.

- Strong communication skills and a desire to strive for excellence are essential components of this position.

- Ability to problem solve and reason. Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required.

- Organization, time management, flexibility, and positive attitude are crucial to successful performance.

- Continuous professional development is expected.

- If Providing Audiology Services in Wisconsin Current License in the State of Wisconsin as an Audiologist at the time of hire or prior to providing services.

- If Providing Audiology Services in Illinois Current License in the State of Illinois as an Audiologist at the time of hire or prior to providing services.

- Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple demands.

- Services are provided in compliance with federal, state, professional organization.

- Reporting relationship Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Clinical Coordinator.
