Recon / Used Car Technician – Modern INFINITI of Winston-Salem

Up to $25 per flat-rate hour based on experience

Modern INFINITI of Winston-Salem is looking for an experienced Recon / Used Car Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys working on a variety of makes and models and takes pride in getting pre-owned vehicles mechanically ready for the road.

What You'll Do

- Perform mechanical inspections and reconditioning on used vehicles

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns

- Complete maintenance and repairs needed to prepare vehicles for sale

- Perform multi-point inspections and identify recommended repairs

- Work on a variety of makes and models

- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship

- Communicate repair needs and vehicle conditions with management

- Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation

- Follow proper safety procedures and dealership standards

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years of automotive technician experience

- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills

- Experience working on multiple makes and models preferred

- Previous used-car or reconditioning experience is a plus

- ASE certifications are a plus

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

- Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables I in standardized situations.
