About the Role.  G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Senior MBSE Systems Architect to support the Computer Network Defense (CND) program.

In this role, you’ll apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across the systems engineering lifecycle, working closely with program leadership, system developers, cybersecurity teams, and technical SMEs. You’ll use MBSE to support requirements and architecture development, system and interface analysis, integration and verification, engineering changes, and technical decision-making while helping establish and maintain an accurate system model and technical baseline.

What You’ll Do

- Apply MBSE methodologies across the systems engineering lifecycle to support requirements, architecture, analysis, integration, and verification activities.
- Develop and maintain system models and executable architectures that accurately represent the system and its technical baseline.
- Ingest and analyze existing technical documentation, network data, and other authoritative sources to establish and maintain accurate system models.
- Support requirements and architecture development, interface analysis, system analysis, integration and verification, and engineering change activities.
- Define and implement high-value MBSE use cases that improve engineering workflows and provide meaningful technical insight.
- Use system models to support technical analysis, engineering decisions, system evolution, and communication with program leadership and technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with system developers, cybersecurity teams, program leadership, and technical SMEs to identify and resolve technical gaps.
- Engage stakeholders to gather technical information, reconcile inconsistencies, and ensure models accurately represent system requirements, interfaces, architecture, and behavior.
- Independently drive MBSE activities forward while adapting to evolving program and engineering priorities.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
- Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to complex systems.
- Experience developing and maintaining system models, executable architectures, simulations, or analyses.
- Experience with UML, SysML, MagicDraw, or Cameo.
- Experience supporting requirements development, system architecture, interface analysis, integration, verification, or engineering change activities.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, network data, and other authoritative engineering sources and translate that information into accurate system models.
- Ability to quickly understand complex systems, identify technical gaps, and develop practical approaches for resolving them.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with program leadership, system developers, cybersecurity teams, and multidisciplinary technical SMEs.
- Ability to work independently, manage technical priorities, and drive engineering activities forward with limited direction.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting DoD or government programs.
- Experience using MBSE to establish or maintain system-level technical baselines.
- Experience defining and implementing model use cases that support technical analysis and engineering decision-making.
- Experience using system models to improve engineering workflows and support system evolution.
- Experience working in cross-functional or customer-facing environments.

Compensation & Benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $135,000-$175,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
