Medical Assistant

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $18/hour to start, with opportunities for certification and pay increases About the Opportunity We are seeking motivated, career-driven individuals who are pursuing a future in healthcare and looking to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. This position is ideal for recent graduates pursuing medical school, physician assistant school, nursing school, or other advanced healthcare programs who need direct patient care and clinical hours. Working alongside physicians and experienced medical professionals in a specialty cardiovascular clinic, you will support patients throughout their entire visit while developing clinical, administrative, and medical documentation skills. Responsibilities

- Assist patients from check-in through check-out to ensure a positive and seamless experience
- Room patients and collect vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information
- Serve as a medical scribe during patient visits, documenting provider assessments and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system
- Present patient information and updates to providers before examinations
- Assist physicians in coordinating follow-up care, referrals, laboratory orders, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Support clinic operations while delivering excellent patient care and customer service
- Float between clinic locations as needed

Qualifications

- Required: Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare-related field such as: Biology
- Integrative Physiology
- Pre-Medicine
- Pre-Health
- Pre-Nursing
- Similar life science discipline

- Strong interest in pursuing advanced education within the healthcare field
- Commitment to remaining in the role for approximately 18-24 months
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

- Preferred: Medical Assistant, scribe, healthcare, or patient care experience
- Experience with Epic or other EMR systems
- Coursework in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, or related sciences

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
