THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for a Warehouse Team Member with electronics recycling or processing experience and a solid understanding of computer hardware, ideally including some basic troubleshooting or repair, who's eager to keep building new skills as our team grows. The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for efficiently and effectively processing electronic goods by using resources to assess resale value.

While primarily focused on ITAD processing, this role will include cross-training to support ITAM client programs as operational needs require.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4pm

Reports to: This position reports to the Warehouse Manager

Compensation: $23-25/Hour

THE DAY TO DAY:

- "Receiving" products as the retired IT assets from big businesses come through our doors (on pallets/in gaylords).

- Weighing in the product and inputting data into our computer system.

- Utilizing multiple resources, including the internet, to research and assess resale value of electronic products received.

- Some basic electronic testing may be required for some gear, standard testing equipment provided.

- Preparing and sorting electronic goods with no resale value for demanufacturing.

- Identifying and removing hazardous substances.

- Dismantling electronic goods where value is found only in parts/or pieces.

- Sorting materials of non-valuable products into appropriate containers for recycling.

- Support logistics team on pickups (mostly local).

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and power lifts.

- Operate balers to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.

- Support warehouse upkeep by sweeping, picking up loose debris, and re-organizing materials to ensure a safe and clean working space.

- Inspect heavy machinery and perform routine maintenance on the applicable equipment.

- Be utilized in any department at any time.

- Provide occasional logistics team member support by assisting drivers with client pick-ups and deliveries.

THE VITALS

Experience and background

- 1–2+ years in electronics recycling, e-waste processing, ITAD/ITAM, or a similar warehouse or production setting

- Hands-on experience dismantling electronics (desktops, laptops, servers, networking gear) using hand and power tools

- Familiarity with material sorting by commodity type (circuit boards, plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, batteries, wiring)

Technical skills

- Ability to identify major computer components (CPU, RAM, hard drives, SSDs, power supplies, motherboards) and assess basic condition

- Basic hardware troubleshooting or testing, such as powering on devices, checking for faults, and swapping components

- Experience removing and handling data-bearing devices under chain-of-custody or data security procedures

- Comfort using inventory or asset-tracking systems, including scanning, serial number capture, and data entry with high accuracy

Compliance and safety knowledge

- Working knowledge of safe handling for lithium batteries, CRTs, or other hazardous components

- Familiarity with industry standards such as R2, e-Stewards, or ISO 14001/45001 (preferred)

- Consistent adherence to PPE and safety protocols without close supervision

Work habits that suggest readiness to cross-train

- Ability to work independently and manage daily throughput targets

- Attention to detail in grading, labeling, and documenting equipment

- Willingness to learn repair, refurbishment, order fulfillment, and ITAM client support tasks

- Forklift or pallet jack certification

Preferred

- Exposure to IT asset management tasks such as receiving, asset tagging, imaging or staging, and deployment prep for client devices

- Experience maintaining accurate inventory records in a WMS, ERP, or asset tracking system

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- The ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time without fatiguing.

- The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

- The ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move/carry heavy objects up to 70lbs+.

- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

- The ability to correctly wear safety equipment.

- This role requires working in a non-climate controlled warehouse , which means you may be exposed to extreme temperatures—both hot and cold—depending on the season. Candidates must be comfortable working in physically demanding environments with fluctuating temperatures, moderate noise, and a fast-paced, busy atmosphere.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Legally authorized to work in the United States.

- The ability to speak/read English fluently.

- The ability to pass a drug test

- Clean criminal record.

- Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements: This position is designated as safety-sensitive due to the potential impact on workplace safety and operational integrity.

Must perform duties free from impairment at all times.

- May be subject to more frequent or periodic drug testing.

- Must consistently demonstrate readiness and the ability to perform duties safely.

- Must be willing to assist the logistics team with pickups as required for business needs.
