We are seeking a friendly and dependable Culinary Aide to join our culinary team. If you enjoy working with people and helping create a welcoming dining experience, this could be a great opportunity for you!
As a Culinary Aide, youll support our residents and culinary team with meal service, dining room setup, dishes, cleaning, and other food service needs.
Schedule & Wage
Wage: $19.09-$19.75/hr. DOE
FTE: Part-Time, 0.4 FTE
Hours: Eight 4-hour shifts per pay period
Tuesday–Saturday Shifts: 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
Sunday Shifts: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
Holidays: Alternating holidays required
There are also opportunities to pick up additional shifts to help cover illnesses and employee time-off requests.
What Youll Do
- Set up dining areas for meal service
- Assist residents with meal selections and meal delivery
- Provide friendly and prompt beverage service
- Clear dishes and dining items after meals
- Keep food, beverages, and utensils stocked and presentable
- Clean and sanitize tables, dining areas, and food preparation spaces
- Reset dining rooms for upcoming meals
- Operate the dishwasher and clean dishes, trays, glasses, cups, and silverware
- Organize and put away clean food service items
- Clean and sanitize food delivery equipment
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment
- Work alongside the culinary team to provide a positive dining experience for residents
What Were Looking For
- Friendly and dependable with a strong customer-service mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, coworkers, and other team members
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for most of the scheduled shift
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to work in hot and humid kitchen environments
- Ability to safely work around kitchen equipment, cleaning products, and food products
- Ability to work scheduled evenings, weekends, and holidays
