Automotive Technical Applications Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Technician with strong hands-on diagnostic and service experience to join our Applications team. This is an hands-on automotive technical role.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree or formal automotive technical training and experience working with a wide range of makes and models. You will assess and evaluate aftermarket automotive equipment, support technical applications, develop service information, and train customers and internal teams.

What You will Do

- Use hands-on automotive experience to test, evaluate, and demonstrate aftermarket too
- ls and service equipment across multiple makes, and models.
- Connect and operate equipment for services including coolant, brake fluid, transmission, differential, fuel induction, and other automotive fluid/service applications.
- Provide technical troubleshooting, product application guidance, and support to local and field teams, customers, distributors, dealerships, and service providers.
- Research automotive applications and evaluate products, equipment, procedures, and vehicle compatibility.
- Develop and review job aids, application guides, Suitable for Use (SFU) charts, technical instructions, and other support materials, Process protection plans.
- Conduct product testing, validation, and design verification and document findings and recommendations.
- Deliver in-person and virtual technical training on products, equipment, and automotive service applications.
- Manage multiple technical projects and administrative assignments while working independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Support new product development, innovation, and field-testing initiatives.

What You Bring

- Hands-on experience as an Automotive Technician.
- Technical degree, or equivalent education in Automotive Technology, Automotive Service Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and experience working across a broad range of vehicle makes and models.
- Experience using aftermarket diagnostic tools and automotive service equipment.
- Ability to understand technical information and translate it into practical instructions, training, and solutions.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in both a hands-on automotive environment and an office environment.
- Ability to provide technical support by phone, email, virtually, and in person.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position. The role combines hands-on work with vehicles and automotive equipment, technical research and testing, documentation, training, and technical support.
