Role Overview
The Production Operator supports manufacturing operations by providing operational assistance across production, bagging, warehouse, and shipping activities. This role operates mixing and material-handling equipment, moves raw materials to support blending operations, and maintains accurate production records. The position contributes to efficient operations through material handling, production support, housekeeping, and adherence to established safety practices. Success in this role requires reliability, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mixing equipment to support batch production and execute manufacturing activities in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Operate forklifts and move raw materials from warehouse storage to blending and production areas to support efficient material flow.
- Track and accurately record production information, including material dosage, lot numbers, scrap, and production issues.
- Support operational activities across production, bagging, warehouse, and shipping areas to maintain efficient workflows and meet production needs.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, follow established safety procedures, and perform additional operational duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow established production procedures and accurately maintain production records.
- Ability to support material handling and manufacturing activities in a team-based production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of general manufacturing safety practices.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
