Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team in Omaha, Nebraska. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects that support Lindsay's irrigation and infrastructure products.

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist with engineering design, testing, documentation, and product development activities while gaining exposure to the engineering processes that support a global manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for students who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing their engineering skills through meaningful project work.

Position Details

This is a full-time summer internship located in Omaha, Nebraska, with flexible start and end dates. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to active engineering projects while gaining practical experience in design, product development, testing, and manufacturing support.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Assist with engineering drawing updates and revisions.

- Support minor mechanical design and product development projects.

- Create and evaluate 3D printed product models and prototypes.

- Create and update Engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs).

- Assist with the creation and processing of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

- Support engineering test plans and validation activities.

- Compile test results and assist with technical report writing.

- Collaborate with engineers to support product improvement initiatives.

- Participate in project discussions and provide updates on assigned tasks.

- Assist with engineering documentation and record maintenance

.

Qualifications:

- Successful completion of first year of study for an undergraduate B.S degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering.

- Experience with 3D CAD modeling a plus, a willingness to learn required

- Experienced with MS office products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to read design drawings and schematics

- Flexible to changing priorities
