Old Republic Title is seeking a Commercial Title Assistant to join our team in Concord, CA . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in the title or escrow industry who is ready to build their knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and grow alongside experienced title professionals.

Location/Schedule: Concord, CA | Fully Onsite | Monday-Friday

In this role, you’ll support an experienced Commercial Title team handling high-volume commercial real estate transactions, including affordable housing transactions throughout California. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to complex title transactions, work alongside experienced title professionals, and develop the knowledge and skills needed to grow your career.

What You'll Do

- Provide administrative and transactional support to Commercial Title Officers and the broader commercial title team
- Assist with the preparation and processing of commercial real estate title transactions
- Prepare, organize, and maintain title-related documents, reports, and correspondence
- Research title matters and gather information needed to support transactions
- Review documents and information for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, lenders, attorneys, and other transaction parties as needed
- Help monitor transaction timelines and follow up on outstanding items to keep transactions moving forward
- Assist with resolving routine title and transaction issues by following established procedures and seeking guidance when needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential transaction records
- Provide professional and responsive service to clients and colleagues
- Learn and apply Old Republic Title's policies, procedures, and industry practices

What We're Looking For

- 1–3 years of experience in title, escrow, real estate, or a related field
- Commercial title experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and service-oriented approach when working with clients and colleagues
- Ability to research information, identify issues, and follow established procedures to find solutions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and processes
- A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn

The Following Apply to Southern California Title Operations only:

- Responsible for examining and verifying basic residential title matters
- This role involves assisting with all requests made to assigned Title Officers
- Review file prior to recordation for required demands
- Process orders/searches/quotes that are received daily by close of business
- Reviewing recorded documents and documents provided for accuracy and authentic signatures
- Tasking to CPU for ordering of demands
- Regular collaboration with sales in order to facilitate smooth closing
- Some Commercial Title Experience required

- Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.
- Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Must be able to get along with others, i.e., peers, employees, supervisors, outside customers, and vendors. Lead by positive example.

Physical/Mental Demands :

- The ability to work with confidential information.
- The ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday is required.
- Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.
- Local/daily travel by automobile and overnight business travel by air and/or automobile, may be required.

Sedentary work:  The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, twisting, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.

Position's Pay Range :

$34.00 - $36.00 an hour.
