About this role

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

The Human Resources Generalist works with the Human Resources Manager to originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

- Recruits, interviews, and selects employees to fill open caregiver positions.

- Maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.

- Works to oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.

- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Studies legislation and other areas to assess industry trends.

- Works with the Human Resources Manager to write and deliver presentations to the Leadership Team regarding human resources policies and practices.

- Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.

- Keeps records of transactions such as hires and terminations, and employee statistics for reporting purposes.

- Coordinates interviews, and performance reviews, and in service requirements.

- Responds to inquiries regarding policies and procedures.

- Administers benefits programs such as health, vision and dental insurance, and 401K

- Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.

- Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.

- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and if deemed necessary, conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

- Works closely with the Human Resources Manager to prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs

- Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
