Manufacturing Technician I - 3rd Shift

10 hr shift/nights

Environmental Conditions
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division (Biologics)

How Will You Make an Impact?:

The candidate will support the manufacture of Commercial and Clinical Biologics following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

A variety of functions will be performed related to cleaning primary, secondary, & ancillary equipment. Additionally, assembling & autoclaving tanks, filters, and line assemblies.

A Day in the Life:

- Maintain departmental functions, suite upkeep, equipment handling, documentation, and material consumption in accordance with site SOPs and policies
- Complete preventative maintenance and work notifications tasks on time
- Perform timely consumption of materials
- Execute tasks with a method of prioritization
- Aid in investigations and provide input on major/critical deviations
- Participate in cross-functional activities
- Participating in shift exchanges, 1-1’s, meetings, and attending meetings vital to facilitate area needs
- Practices and promotes safe work habits and adheres to safety procedures and guidelines

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:
Required No prior work experience is required
Preferred: Previous work experience in manufacturing, operations, production or lab setting or related field
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge

- Knowledge of cGMP practices, aseptic techniques, or chemical concepts- preferred

Skills

- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail
- Efficient in MS Office

- Able to read, write, and communicate in English

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

- Be willing to wear clean room gowning which includes bodysuit, gloves, hair & beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. (These items are prohibited: makeup, jewelry, nail polish, cologne / perfume, scented lotions, or hair care products, etc.)
- Ability to lift minimum of 25 lbs. independently
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel and/ or crouch for 80% of the shift
